Currently our client is looking for an experienced, highly motivated and analytical corporate professional who are able to work independently to complete a project on a tight deadline. The successful candidate will produce business documentation including maps/flows and desktop procedures, define business requirements, perform testing activities, and support project implementations.
Responsibilities: Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Create processes and all corresponding process documentation including process maps/flows, desktop procedures, version control, and business process management notation Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the appropriate documentation Serve as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams Capture, verify and document functional and non-functional business requirements to support a change(s). Evaluate initiation requests submitted by business sponsors Ensure proposed changes are fully justified i.e. facilitating business units in preparing business cases for change. : Business requirements definition Create and develop test plans, cases and perform user acceptance testing as required for change initiatives Develop complete and accurate business models including process, data and organization (as applicable to individual project). Become involved throughout the whole development lifecycle of the change/project. This includes obtaining business acceptance after delivery and assisting in the transition from delivery to post implementation support Act as a technical lead in evaluating and recommending technology and application software acquisitions / changes. Accountable for the overall design of a specific application and/or the integration of a new application package. Provide quality assurance to project teams Monitor the compliance of contract programmers using services procedures and standards. Develop & implement tools and processes to extract and manipulate data from various systems including development of ad-hoc reports in order to solve operational issues and/or improve existing process. Support the business to achieve success on selling product relationship, growing market share, gaining operational efficiencies. Identify and implement policy and process improvements through enhancing existing policies or developing new ones. Other Business Analyst Duties as assigned
Additional Skills Required: 3-5 years relevant work experience Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Business performance tracking & business case development Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Project implementation experience in training, cutover procedure process/procedures documentation and post implementation validation and monitoring Project Development Life Cycle Methodology experience Experience in test case development and execution Electric Industry or commodity related experience preferred Credit Collection Functional experience and expertise a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio) Preferred Electric industry or commodity related experience Texas or Deregulated expertise a plus Business requirement definition experience
