Technical Architect - Portal & Java & Web 2.0
Technical Architect:
10+ years software engineering experience, with a full range of experience including:
Software team leadership Architectural definition – creating descriptions of the key elements of a system, their responsibilities, relationships, and the principles and mechanisms guiding their implementation, operation and evolution. C/C++ and Java Computer Networking and Unix fundamentals J2EE fundamentals (J2EE Certified Architect would be a bonus) OOAD/OOP Relational Database Fundamentals / RDMS servers (e.g. Oracle, Sybase) Web Servers and core internet technologies and protocols Application Servers (BEA Weblogic, IBM WebSphere) Portal Packages including BEA Portal CMS experience with Interwoven, Vignette, other Strong enterprise integration experience Rational Unified Process, Agile, and strong full-cycle software development methodology experience Service Oriented Architectures / Web Services Java XML APIs Application Security competence Refactoring experience Development frameworks including Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Tiles, JSF, etc Experience with Software design, project management, and implementation tools: e.g. ANT, JUNIT, Rational Rose, etc. Multiple industries, including financial services Performance and Scalability tuning
Preferably a Masters Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
At least 7 full professional software engineering projects experiences
An excellent written and verbal communicator, allowing effective communications with clients and with our junior staff
A commitment to quality assurance and development of junior staff
Should be an “engineer with executive presence”
Capable of driving the technical aspects of sales endeavors and to provide strong support to the efforts of the Office of Technology
Should have a strong set of software architectural values and the ability to express a technical vision, advocate for it, and drive it through implementation.
Must be willing to travel.
